2025 newborn intake questionnaire

 

Hi!

Thank you so much for being here and congratulations on preparing to welcome your newest member of your family! It means so much to me that you are considering me to document your newborn. Before we book, I would love to go over some details and be sure that we’re on the same page prior to booking & that everything works for you beforehand. Please be sure to read through each detail carefully and ask questions if you have any!

Newborn Package Info:

  • $550

  • 2 hours at your home

  • Sessions held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings only.

  • All of the best images included in your session (50+) as well as black/white copies of select images.

  • 30% non-refundable (but transferrable) retainer is due to book/reserve your session date & time & is paid online via my website.

  • Destinations further than 25 miles from zip 37135 are subject to a travel fee.

  • Remaining balance is due at the time of your session & can be paid via check/cash only (no cc/debt/venmo option).

  • Following booking, I send over a digital contract for you to read over & sign.

  • I also send over a Newborn Welcome Guide to give you some insight on what to expect from your session, how to prepare for your session, and some tips on what to wear.

  • Galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session date via a private online gallery where you can share, download, and save your images. I will include some print lab recommendations as well!

Newborn Weekend Package Info:

  • Limited weekend newborn session packages are available when necessary. Please be sure to fill out the form below and include your family’s unique situation in the box provided!

  • Includes all details above (minus weekday availability) at a weekend rate.

  • Please start planning your session around your 24 week mark of pregnancy.

  • I will no longer offer weekend newborn sessions during September, October, or November due to fall busy season.

  • If a weekend. package is necessary for your family’s unique situation, please include details below and I will touch base on if I have availability and include specific investment details then!

Upon my arrival:

Ideally baby will be burping or finishing up nursing on their second side. I will drop my shoes at your door and immediately wash my hands before getting started. After that, I would love to do a quick tour with you to find the space that has the best natural light. I ask for baby to be in something comfortable that is easy to change until feeding is complete. After we tour, this would be a good time to make sure baby is in a clean diaper & in the outfit we want to start shooting in.

Cozy, one color, textured, well-fitted outfits are ideal! This allows us to see baby’s shape & size really well. As long as baby is content, we will stay in this for a bit! If baby does better being swaddled, I’ll bring the swaddle color you noted on your intake form for our session & will swaddle him/her & go from there.

Newborn sessions are baby-led. The 2hr timeframe allows us time if baby needs to feed/burp, diaper change, and settle. We will follow baby’s lead throughout our session.
